Energy Efficient Chips from Intel

Intel energy-efficient processors for laptops. Intel Corporation has launched four varieties of processors: - an ultra-low-voltage 1.1GHz Pentium M, an ultra-low-voltage 900MHz Celeron M, a low-voltage 1.3GHz Pentium M, and a standard 1.4GHz Celeron M.

Intel updated the latest chips on the lines of energy efficienct processors geared towards small, light weight notebooks.

The energy efficient chips have low clock speeds, but they use least power of any of Intel's notebook chips. Manufactures typically use these chips in their thinnest, lightest models. Because the chips consume less power, they produce less heat, thus allowing companies to put them into thinner chassis and enabling them to use smaller batteries, which reduces weight.

Intel separates its chips by price and performance. The Pentium M offers the best performance and lots of features, while the Celeron M costs less, helping PC makers to deliver lower-priced notebooks and tablets.
